Come and meet the newest Milgi Lurcher!

Dixie in her bespoke lurcher coatIt’s a Bank Holiday weekend - whoopee! We are open for business right through the weekend.

Since I last wrote, a new member of the family has joined the Milgi pack. Dixie, a beautiful black lurcher has come to us from the fantastic people at Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue and is settling in really well. Like all the Milgi hounds, you can soon expect to see her modelling on the website and she’ll be travelling to shows with us. She has a glossy smooth coat, a very waggy tail and beautiful brown eyes. Also not surprisingly, we are hard at work creating a set of stunning coats and bandanas for her – pics of these as they are completed will be on our Facebook page.

If you’d like to come and meet her, she’s coming with us on Sunday to her very first outing – down in Somerset, at the West Somerset Whippet Racing Club Fun Dog Show to be held at Taunton Polo Club, TA3 5DQ.

Classes start at 11 a.m. and as well as Milgi, there will be a variety of other stalls, refreshments (the home-made bacon sarnies were flying out last year), a small agility course and the chance to run your dog down the track after the show has finished. Entry to classes is £1 per class, payable in the ring. This is a lovely small show, with a really friendly atmosphere and masses of parking (and plenty of room for a picnic). If you’re in the area, do come along. We’ll have a wide selection of coats, dog beds and bandanas (including a few designs that aren’t yet on the website) and as always, we are delighted to accept card payments, PayPal or good old fashioned cash.

Sadly, the Royal Mail raised their prices recently, so we have reluctantly decided to follow suit. In line with the Royal Mail increase, any orders placed after 5th May will be charged at the new rate of £4.40, so you’ve got all the Bank Holiday weekend to shop at the existing post rate. We will continue to offer free postage for all orders over £70, and our no-fuss, free exchange service.
